Hardly any other work presents such fascinating conundrums as the Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Mozart himself died while working on the piece, and it was completed by his student, Franz Xaver S��mayr. But the Amen fugue after the Lacrymosa ends after 14 bars. Birger Petersen has completed the fugue for this recording in the style of Mozart. Premiere recordings of Vogler's Trauermusik and Salieri's De Profundis complement the repertoire of this exciting new CD.
