Emily Slade - Shire Boy

Debut album from Emily Slade, who has been hailed as the new face in folk music. The 12 tracks on this album include six originals which lie alongside more traditional material such as Carolan's Concerto and contemporary numbers such as Mama Cass's Dream A Little Dream. Backing Emily's individual vocal and guitar style are Maartin Allcock on bass, jazz guitarist Diz Disley, Pete Morton on harmony vocals while Gareth Turner, Guy Fletcher and P.J Wright of the rocking folk band Little Johnny England add melodeon, fiddle, and pedal steel. Australian banjo player, Keith Pearson, harmonica player James Darby and classical cellist Anna Frazer complete the line-up.
