After the deaths of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, South Africa's Lucky Dube became arguably the greatest and most popular reggae artist in the world with a string of critically-acclaimed albums that were a rallying cry against apartheid with spectacular performances around the globe. Prisoner is widely regarded as Lucky Dube's greatest album, with its powerful socially-conscious songs such as War and Crime and Prisoner and inspirational songs such as Jah Live and Remember Me all held together by Lucky's Peter Tosh-style vocals.
