The band were recently awarded the Hero award at the Mojo Honours and the band have been name checked over the years by an array of artists ranging from The Clash, David Bowie and Aerosmith through to The Libertines and Kasabian.The band first burst onto the scene in 1965 and this 2CD set collects their first two albums of raw, explosive R&B. The band's self-titled debut, which mixed raucous covers of blues favourites along with original tracks, reached number 6 in the UK charts. The follow up, Get The Picture, was released later the same year and reflected the band's new found song writing confidence as well as the soul and mod sounds that were influencing the band at the time.The set also features the singles and b-sides that the band released around the albums including their breakthrough single Don't Bring Me Down and the controversial L.S.D. It comes packaged in a rigid digibook with re-worked artwork and new liner notes written by the respected journalist Pierre Perrone and band member Dick Taylor.
