Lucas Heidepriem was a young friend and student of Albert Mangelsdorff to the bearer of hope for the German jazz trombone. In 1993, a tragic lip disease forced him to give up his trumpets Career. Heidepriem retired from the jazz scene and started one 12 year old classical piano training at Erik Siefert Musikhochschule Freiburg. His contemplative piano playing caused a stir in the professional world after his CD release: (Lucas Heidepriem Trio Next Return and Silence in Motion Lucas Heidepriem Trio with Peter Erskine) amazed. The son of Lucas Heidepriem, Michael Heidepriem on drums, is new to the trio Master's degree with distinction at the Jazz Campus Basel.
