The debut of the trio around Swiss-German vocalist and composer Fiona Grond shows a remarkable maturity. The band was founded not on the premise of which instruments the musicians play, but rather on their strong musical and interpersonal connection. That is how the unusual constellation of Fiona Grond on vocals, Moritz Stahl on tenor saxophone and Philipp Schiepek on guitar came to be. Delicate and intricate compositions, tailored specifically to this formation, break with the conventional ideas of musical roles and leave plenty of room for interaction and improvisation alongside sophisticated, composed passages. In this manner, the band finds its own unique tone and creates transparent and filigree soundscapes, still mighty in statement and implementation.
