One of John Coltrane's most popular albums and considered his true first solo album with musicians he chose himself. Blue Train still remained faithful to the hard bop style: on very Bop compositions, John Coltrane already imprints his sound and his offbeat and innovative playing. It's over several octaves and lines up beautiful rhythmic progressions: blues, swing and funk are omnipresent. Recorded in 1957 Blue Train is therefore a musical work to discover or rediscover. John Coltrane is recognized as one of the best jazzmen.
