In the early 50's, Fats became one of the most successful R 'n' B artists, his superb band assembled by Bartholomew bringing together all the elements of New Orleans gumbo with a blend of Jazz, Latin, Cajun, Boogie-Woogie, and Blues. But it wasn't until 1955 that the first crossover hit arrived in the shape of 'Ain't That A Shame' which initiated a steady run of hits.Gathered here are all the greats of Fats Domino, showcasing his seemingly effortless rolling piano style and the rich and inviting vocal characterised by his Louisiana accent.
