LBT - Abstrakt

Abstrakt - LBT's new jazz album, was recorded live in front of an audience in National Public Radio BR's Studio 2 in June 2022.

After many years of excursions into the world of acoustically generated techno, they are now returning to their home ground, packed with groove and plenty of improvisation. Compact riffs and rhythm cells are expanded into large narrative arcs with playful ease. Collective research has produced new sounds and sonic textures that surpass the unmistakable band sound of LBT. Abstract is a program in which the gifted interplay of Betzl, Hirning and Wolfgruber comes into its own like never before, but which also gives a stage to the individual skills of the three musicians.
