Bluesman Lowell Fulson's (1921-1999) first recordings were made in 1946, following the completion of his World War II military service. This collection traces Fulson's development from a country blues style into a more polished urban blues style. The last three tracks feature Fulson backed by a band with a saxophone section. This collection includes Fulson's composition Three O'clock Blues, a song later recorded by B.B. King. The liner notes provide an overview of his early career and musical impact.
