Del McCoury - I Wonder Where You Are Tonight

The first recording of Del McCoury as frontman made on December 9th & 10th 1967. This record was completed using session musicians which Chris Strachwitz put together especially for these two days. Although McCoury had been playing professionally since1957 and with Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys for a year in 1963 it was not until this record that he really stamped his authority and is now of course regarded as one of the leading Bluegrass voices.
