�Freaks, Fools and Ghouls� the third album from Sheelanagig is a live album recorded over two gigs manic gigs in Bristol. It contains 6 heavily re-worked pieces from the band's 2 studio albums, alongside 3 new tunes and a warp-speed take of �Medley�, their traditional opening number. Two of the new tunes (�The Rabbi's Daughter� and �Muddy Thighs�) are complex and highly technical, comprising many different sections and rhythmic variations, while �Garage Food�, a gonzoid slab of punk swing was the heaviest thing they had ever produced. �Freaks, Fools and Ghouls� was conceived as a way to document Sheelanagig's evolution, and more importantly to have a CD to sell which was a more accurate reflection of their current live show.
