Boundary-pushing Fiddler Oliver Schroer's Final Full-band Recording.A follow-up to their 1996 self-titled release, Freedom Row is The Stewed Tomatoes' second album. Although recording sessions had begun ten years earlier it was only months before his death in 2008 that Oliver and the band returned to the job at hand working with older tapes as well as recording new tunes � some, even from Oliver's hospital bed. Oliver says, the album just finished itself. It was a breeze. The last overdubs were a joy and the mixing was a pleasure. Oliver Schroer (June 18, 1956 � July 3, 2008) was a Canadian fiddler, composer, and music producer. In 2007, Oliver was diagnosed with leukemia, which proved to be untreatable. The release of 'Freedom Row' has been much-anticipated by his many fans.
