[Nuala is] utterly beguiling � SonglinesTo hear Schroer play is to believe that a violin can possess a thousand word vocabulary. � Toronto StarFiddler and composer OLIVER SCHROER was invited to Glasgow, Scotland in 2007 to play on 'Astar' a piece commissioned by Celtic Connections Festival and written by flautist NUALA KENNEDY. Over the course of the festival, Nuala and Oliver realized they shared a compatible approach to music making and embarked on this duo album project. Enthralled was finished the following year just prior to Oliver's untimely passing.
