Gilles Naturel - Contrapuntic Jazz Band Act 2

The second offering from the talented French bassist and composer Gilles Natural, sees him arrange songs by Charlie Parker, Dave Brubeck, Fats Waller, the classical composer Carlo Gesualdo, and others plus his own compositions.

His group includes the New York-born, Paris-based tenor saxophonist Lenny Popkin, a student of the influential blind pianist Lennie Tristano, whose 2011 trio album 'Live at INNtoene Festival' with Gilles Natural on bass, was described by LondonJazzNews as a mesmerising album...I cannot recommend highly enough.
