On this 2007 recording bluesman Tab Benoit delivers a Cajun flavoured blues album with elements of rock and soul. 'Power of the Pontchartrain' teams Tab's swampy guitar and soulful vocals with the highly seasoned backbeats of one of Louisiana's top recording artists, Leroux. The socially and environmentally-conscious themed album gets much of its emotion and grit from the extreme suffering their homeland suffered following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
