  • Bernard Wright was a young piano player from Queens, New York who made these two Classic Jazz (Funk) albums in the early Eighties, Bernard was only sixteen when he recorded the 1981 album ��Nard�.
  • ��Nard� features the two heavily sampled tracks �Hoboglabotribin� and �Spinnin��. Snoop Dogg sampled �Hoboglabotribin� on the track �G�s And Hustlers� and Skee-Lo sampled �Spinnin�� on his hit single �I Wish�, and another highlight of the album is a version of Miles Davis� �Solar�.
  • The �Funky Beat� album allowed Bernard to explore many areas of black music including Jazz, Soul, Funk & Break Beats. There are two standout tracks on the album - Weldon Irvine�s �Mr Clean� and the track �Joy Spring�; both tracks produced by Dave Grusin & Larry Rosen.
  • The package contains extensive liner notes by Jazz FM�s Ralph Tee.
