Freeland Barbour And Friends - The Music And The Land - The Concert

In 2015 ilinn Ltd. published Freeland Barbour's sumptuous two-volume book: 'The Music and The Land - The Music of Freeland Barbour' and launched it with two concert/ceilidhs in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Freeland arranged the two concerts to be recorded and then selected 21 track for this album. The album contains much of magic of those nights , a chance to hear some of the compositions from the book, and also to hear music from the distinguished list of performers including: The Occasionals Ceilidh Band, Mairi Campbell, Alison Smith, Jane Gardner, Phil Cunningham, Martin Carthy, Ross AInslie, Gary West, Simon Thoumire, Kevin Macleod, Billy Kay and Cailean Maclean and of course Freeland himself. This is a stunning collection of 'live' recordings.
