Expecting Great Things� is the third album from Scottish singer-songwriter Grant Campbell and is the follow up to 2007�s critically acclaimed �Beyond Below�'Expecting Great Things' is the third album from Scottish singer-songwriter Grant Campbell. As with his two previous albums �Postcards from Nowhere� (2005) and �Beyond Below� (2007) it was recorded at home in Glasgow.�After spending over six months recording what would have been the follow-up to Beyond Below, I decided to put that work to one side and begin on a different set of songs. I wanted to record these songs the way they were written, with very little accompaniment and focus on the song itself. What mattered more to me here was that the song took centre stage, that it was not disguised or touched up to portray one thing while masquerading as another. The cracks appear, the parts show, there are no shiny things to distract you from the core elements. It�s one for the twilight hours, the Monday mornings, the winding journeys, the moments your mind can drift off alone.
