Art Stamper - Wake Up Darlin' Corey

Art Stamper is a legend in the world of country music fiddle playing. He has recorded with a Who's Who of Bluegrass artists (Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, The Osborne Brothers, etc) and is a walking encyclopedia of obscure fiddle tunes. These he learned from his father, Hiram, who learned from fiddlers older still. Five tunes on this new CD come directly from the teachings of Hiram while the others come from the recordings of other early Kentucky fiddlers. With vocal help from Tim O'Brien and instrumental accompaniment by Harry Bickel and Doc Hamilton.
