Curly Seckler is considered to be among the best tenor singers ever in Bluegrass music. Though not as widely recognized as Bill Monroe or Ralph Stanley, his voice has been heard and appreciated by millions of people around the world whether they knew it or not. Seckler played mandolin and sang tenor for seminal Bluegrass stars Flatt & Scruggs during their heyday of the 1950s, recording over 100 sides with them. The Lester Flatt-Curly Seckler vocal duet is still the benchmark for Bluegrass harmony singing. This CD is a reissue of Curly's 1971 County album Curly Seckler Sings Again along with five cuts from his 1989 Rebel Records release, Tribute To Lester Flatt. Truly historic recordings of fine traditional Bluegrass music.
