Giusy Caruso - Charpentier: 72 Etudes Karnatiques

French composer Jacques Charpentier (1933 � 2017) wrote his monumental work, 72 Etudes Karnatiques over a thirty-year period. Dedicated to Olivier Messiaen, the work resulted from a work with that master, as well as from a two-year stay in India as well as his collaboration with Alain Danielou. Italian pianist Giussy Caruso worked on this music with Jacques Charpentier himself and has performed the entire 3-hour work live. This recording is truly an extraordinary accomplishment.
