John Pizzarelli - Midnight McCartney

World-renowned guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli performs repertoire from Paul McCartney's rich musical catalogue. This project has a history that dates back to 1999 when RCA released 'John Pizzarelli Meets The Beatles'. That album made its way into the hands of Sir Paul McCartney and impressed him enough that Paul asked John to be the guitarist on his jazz based record, 'Kisses on the Bottom'. More recently Paul sent a letter to John asking him to record some of the McCartney songbook in the Pizzarelli style. Sir Paul himself was involved in the song selection for the album which includes post-Beatles gems like Silly Love Songs, My Love, Let 'Em In, Maybe I'm Amazed and the holiday staple Wonderful Christmastime as a bonus track.
