Shannon Lyon - My Throat Is Soar

Shannon Lyon released his first solo album in 1994 and has released 13 albums to date. He has toured extensively throughout North America, Australia and Europe and has lived in Holland, Germany and Spain.In 2003 Lyon was the first Canadian signed to Richard Bransons V2 Records, becoming label mates with The White Stripes and Paul Weller. Later that year New Yorks 'Billboard Magazine' declared Lyon Untainted & Pure.Shannon has shared the stage with such luminaries as Lucinda Williams, Jay Farrar and Bruce Cockburn.Currently Lyon lives on Lake Huron in Canada where he spends most of his time recording & producing in his studio. The new Shannon Lyon CD 'My Throat Is Soar' was recorded during the 2016 winter in a cabin on Lake Huron and boasts 20 tracks. The entire album was tracked on a Tascam 4 track cassette recorder. Which is a true return to Untained and Pure. Lo Fi is the word! But then: Highly Enjoyable fits well too.
