Marc Perrenoud Trio - Vestry Lamento

The third album by the Swiss/German trio led by the hugely talented pianist Marc Perrenoud, which displays his impressive compositional ability on seven of his own songs, plus a cover of Johnny Green's Body and Soul. Perrenoud's songs mix ear-catching melodies and powerful grooves on the up-tempo numbers and moments of great beauty and sensitivity on the ballads.

Perrenoud has played in numerous jazz bands all across Switzerland, France and Germany and has performed at festivals such as Montreux, Lugano, Bern and many others. He has won several contests such as the Montreux Jazz Chrysler Award in 2003, the Friedlwald grant, Zurich, in 2005 as well as the award for best soloist at the International Bern Festival in 2006. He has played with many musicians such as Mina Agossi, Baenz Oester, Cyril Regamey and Gr�goire Maret.
