Norma Winstone - Well Kept Secret

Norma Winstone, one of the UK's leading jazz vocalists recorded 'Well Kept Secret' in 1993 with the legendary American pianist Jimmy Rowles, bassist George Mraz and drummer Joe La Barbera. At the time of its release the album was given a four star rating in Down Beat magazine.

Norma performs a selection of rare jazz standards, including Jimmy Rowles's famous tune The Peacocks for which she wrote lyrics and re-titled A Timeless Place. This piece has since been recorded by many other artists including jazz singer Mark Murphy and The Swingle Singers.
