The Hi-Q's were formed by Paul 'Smokey Links' Cook, Loney Charles and Rudy Varner late in the summer of 2001. Given their previous success with traditional Rockabilly (Country Music Recording of the Year - Detroit Music Awards, VLV Band Competition Winners, etc.), they decided to continue with even wilder traditional rockabilly and 1950's rock n' roll.
