Strange Billy The Saint & Bernadette Pike - A Love Story

'A Love Story' is Strange Billy the Saint & Bernadette Pike's debut album and an epic work about the explosion of romantic love in an unlikely situation. It weaves its spell over an entire album charting the nuances, twists, turns, foreplay, abstinence, rejection, communal disapproval, gossip and ultimately protagonist acceptance you would expect in a sudden provincial romance between an older, fit, married, rock climbing lawyer (Bernadette Pike) and her noisy, handsome, hyper manic guitar wielding love (Strange Billy the Saint). The technical naivety of the album recorded at home in Bristol on Garageband, using odd instruments and domestic sounds, adds an intimacy and sense of nerve-addled fumbling that perfectly mirrors the feeling that hits us all when we fall for someone and can't quite deal with it yet. Filmmaker Benjamin Dowden (aka DowdenBoy) has made a series of films to tracks from the album which have achieved thousands of hits on You Tube.
