FRANCISCI MAGNUS AMOR is a new recording, exploring the great love of a collector and enthusiast of early keyboard instruments.A large number of copies of historical keyboard instruments (not to mention new constructions) level out the different registers of their originals in favour of a sound that is as homogeneous as possible. Peter Waldner lets us discover here, on the basis of two lovingly and meticulously restored historical instruments from the 16th century, a little-known fascinating world of sound that also has its rough edges.
