Justin Quinn's Bakehouse - Before I Forget

For his debut album as leader, British guitarist Justin Quinn has assembled a group of fine musicians and produced a deeply individual recording. Quinn is related to one of the greatest of UK jazz musicians, John McLaughlin, but rather than taking McLaughlin's incendiary approach to the instrument Quinn's intensity is more reserved, happening under the surface of his playing. This album was MOJO's Jazz Album Of The Month, their correspondent noting that Quinn is a tremendous new talent.
