Partikel are one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the London scene, combining complex rhythmical forms with lyrical melody and soulful improvisations. Partikel are three London based musicians, all with very different musical backgrounds coming together to make music that mixes all of the different influences that defines each player in a melodic, coherent and accurate way. The music aims to put an interesting twist on the standard jazz format. While still honouring the tradition of deep harmony, creative improvisation and interaction combined with influences from African and Latin American music this offers a fresh approach to the Saxophone trio format.
