'Blessing' presents a series of ceremonial music and Buddhist chants from the monks of the Spituk Monastery, situated in Ladakh, India.
Recorded with the essential help of the Himalayan Cultural Heritage Foundation, the album features some of the principal instruments of Tibetan religious music in instrumental and chanted tracks. These include the gyaling (a double reed woodwind instrument), the dungchen (the dharma trumpet or long horn), the rnga and damaru (drums) and the bugtsal and silnyan (cymbals).
