Tre Martelli - Cante 'r Paroli - Homage to Giovanni Rapetti

For over 25 years the Italian folk group has been responsible for the study, recovery and popularization of the traditional musical culture of the region of Piedmont in northern Italy. This new recording with its arrangements of the poetry of the Piedmontese poet Giovanni Rapetti is the band's first departure from performing exclusively traditional folk repertoire. They see the dramatic power and ethics of the texts by Rapetti as a natural continuation of the folk songs they regularly perform.
