Niamh Parsons - In My Prime

With the release of her newest album, In My Prime, it is fair to say that Niamh Parsons truly is in her prime. Since last year's release Blackbirds & Thrushes her star has been steadily in the ascendant. Recorded in Dublin, In My Prime features Niamh's regular accompanist guitarist Graham Dunne as well as special guests including accordion sensation Josephine Marsh and fiddler Siobhan Peoples. Niamh has gathered a dozen personal songs from singers andwriters she admires, such as Luka Bloom, Jacqui McShee, Andy M. Stewart, Andy Irvine and Frank Harte, and has arranged them simply or even a cappella.
