Marc Block - The Hawthorn Spring

Debut release from Marc Block, an exciting, talented and emerging folk singer and songwriter. Hailing from Nottingham in the east midlands Marc has been involved in the folk scene for many years, and has been making an impact since winning the song slam competition at Towersey Village Festival in 2009.His 2010 EP One Year from Now garnered favourable attention and radio play, including Late Junction on BBC Radio 3. With an eclectic mix of original songs, traditional folk and contemporary covers, he has shown himself to be a fine singer, whether unaccompanied or playing guitar.
