'Khoom Loy' is Annbj�rg Lien's eighth solo album and is an intriguing, atmospheric fusion of traditional Norwegian fiddling with rock, jazz and world music. Featuring artful compositions and arrangements by Lien and keyboardist Bj�rn Ole Rasch, the core group of six musicians plus supporting players embark on a sensitive and sparkling musical journey of moods and styles. Ranging from folk ballads to high energy rock inspired pieces, the music encompasses elements of traditional Norwegian, Irish and Asian music with jazz, rock and other contemporary styles. It feels just as natural with Nepalese musicians as tunes based on poems by Norwegian writers Jakob Sande and Andr� Bjerke.
