Erlend Viken Trio - Frie T�yler

Norwegian fiddle player Erlend Viken is a member of the award winning bluegrass duo, Earlybird Stringband. The original duo, now expanded to a trio under Erland Viken's own name, takes the idea of fusing traditional and contemporary Norwegian folk music with bluegrass a step further by incorporating rock, blues and improvised music. The concept of a ''power trio'' is used most often in reference to rock, but can equally well apply to the music presented here on the trio's debut album.
