This release by Sven Nyhus Quartet consists only of compositions by its leader, the esteemed Norwegian folk musician, composer and musicologist Sven Nyhys, of which eleven are brand new. The quartet was founded in 1969, making it one of the oldest 'still-playing-ensembles' of its kind. The group is made up of leader Sven Nyhus on fiddle, Tore L�vgreen on accordion, Jan Erik Kongshaug on guitar, Arne Sandum on bass and �shild Breie Nyhus on fiddle.
