H.H. The Dalai Lama - Walking the Path of Peace

This DVD features exclusive coverage of the Dalai Lama's historic three day visit to Northern Ireland in 2000. Included is his official welcome by Rt. Hon Peter Mandelson, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, intimate moments during a meeting with victims of violence and local peacemakers, greeting schoolchildren and local residents in west Belfast, including his historic opening of the gate separating Catholic and Protestant areas. We also see the Dalai Lama lighting a candle for peace in a community centre, hear him say prayers alongside Father Gerry Reynolds and Reverend Barry Dodds at an interfaith service on the Peace Line, and see the lively crowd at a public rally cheering the Man of Peace in Belfast. The programme is approximately 50 minutes in length and is presented in English.
