H.H. The Dalai Lama - A Message of Peace and Compassion

A commemorative programme of the highlights of H.H. The Dalai Lama�s UK visit May/June 2004, including his visits to Liverpool, London & Glasgow. His Holiness, receives an honorary degree from John Moores University in Liverpool Cathedral, and meets the Mayor of Liverpool. His Holiness also meets members of the public in a spontaneous walkabout. Excerpts are included from His Holiness� meetings with Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, Leader of the Opposition Michael Howard, and the meeting with the All Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet. His Holiness gives the Temenos-Singhvi annual lecture and meets international journalists at the Foreign Press Association. In Glasgow, His Holiness gave a public talk to over 10,000 people at the SECC, followed by three days of teachings. The programme captures the spirit and essence of this first part of His Holiness� visit to the UK.
