With an almost under the radar stealthy approach The Media Whores have been building up a solid and uncompromising reputation that made people sit up and take notice when their debut album Starfishing was the runner-up in the 2012 Scottish New Music Awards.The band's collective history sees them encompass a myriad of influences and experiences to come up with a stunning blend of styles that is based upon quality songwriting, hook laden but with a strong lyrical edge that sees them touch areas as broad based as classic writers like Elvis Costello, Ian Hunter and Joe Strummer.This strong almost political edge adds a dynamic attitude to a powerful mixture of sonic attacks ranging from 60`s pop through punk all underpinned by strong melodies that just live in your head.
