Ben Crosland Quartet & Alan Skidmore - The Northern Run

The first album in the Jazz Cat catalogue which documents the very special relationship between Ben Crosland's Quintet, formed in 1990, and saxophone legend Alan Skidmore. This began at the inaugural Marsden Jazz Festival in 1992, and was developed by tours across the north of England which featured Crosland's original compositions, many of which are represented on the album, together with compositions by Kenny Barron and John Coltrane.
