Rosa Passos & Ron Carter - Entre Amigos

There is something alluring about Brazilian music, a suggestion of the tropical, the mysterious and the sensual. Singer/guitarist Rosa Passos is a Brazilian talent on the rise, noted as an utterly captivating singer, the ebb and flow of her voice floating suggestively and seductively with a fragile breathiness and walking on eggshells delivery. Ron Carter is of course a world-renowned acoustic bass player who has dominated the jazz scene since the 1960s. Together with accompanists Billy Drewes (clarinet,tenor sax), Lula Galvao (guitar) and Paulo Braga (percussion), Passos and Carter perform 11 come-hither bossas, seven from the prolific pen of Antonio Carlos Jobim, all produced by Cliff Korman, who has previously worked with Astrud Gilberto.
