Candido & Graciela - Inolvidable

Two of the last survivors of the Cubop movement of the late 1940s, that blended Cuban rhythms with jazz, Candido & Graciela are unsung legends of Cuban music. Long before Celia Cruz was crowned Queen of Salsa, Graciela was known as the First Lady Of Latin Jazz - singing for Machito's genre-bending big band from the '40s to the '70s while conga player Candido has collaborated with a vertitable who's who of the jazz world - featuring on recordings by Clark Terry, Dinah Washington, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie and Tito Puente amongst others. This is an important recording from two true greats of Afro-Cuban music.
