Nuevo Tango Ensamble - D'Impulso

The Nuevo Tango Ensamble was founded in 1999 by Pasquale Stafano and Gianni Iorio in order to celebrate Astor Piazzolla`s music, but also to rearrange it. The Trio approximates Piazzolla�scompositions with deep admiration with the aim to interpret the complex musical expressions and the characteristical sounds from Buenos Aires.With the album �d�impulso� the three musicians of the Nuevo Tango Ensamble widen their horizon and broaden their minds. They are composers and performers of the songs of this album in which, for the first time, they do not include any masterpiece by Astor Piazzolla, the great Argentinian whose family came from Puglia as the musicians themselves. This choice does not mean that the lesson of this great �maestro� is forgotten, on the contrary, it is simply assimilated, digested and distilled into a new synthesis between nuevo tango and jazz. A new kind of music characterized by loving melodies full of italian pride and charming improvisations which make each song an unrepeatable event.The Nuevo Tango Ensamble worked for the last album �Tango Mediterraneo� together with the clarinetist Gabriele Mirabassi, this time they are playing together with Javier Girotto who has agood reputation as a saxophonist.
