Deitra Farr - The Search Is Over

Deitra Farr has been performing in and around Chicago since the mid 1970s but it was only really in the '90s that her reputation spread much further afield, first as lead singer of the group Mississippi Heat and then with this, her debut solo album. Recorded at Soto Sound Studio in Chicago and produced by veteran R&B man Johnny Rawls, who also plays guitar throughout, the album was first released by JSP in 1997 and proved to be a great boost to Deitra's career. She has since made international tours, been nominated for several awards and recorded a second album for JSP.
