Bone Supremacy - Introducing The Bone Supremacy

Debut CD from a band comprising the leading Jazz trombonists in the UK which simply oozes class.The Bone Supremacy is already causing a stir and it is only on the verge of releasing its debut album. It was voted second in the Small Group category in the British Jazz Awards. Formed by trombonists Ian Bateman (The Back To Basie Orchestra, Acker Bilk's Paramount Jazz Band) and Adrian Fry (The Back To Basie Orchestra, Elio Pace's Band) it comprises four trombones plus a guest in the front line. Bateman and Fry were listed in the top five trombonists in the British Jazz Awards as were two of their guests on this CD: Mark Nightingale and the legendary Roy Williams. The other guest is Alistair White one of the UK's finest young trombonists. Assembling the leading players in the UK has resulted in a top flight band which simply oozes quality with playing of the highest order. The high standard is maintained via some superb arrangements mainly by Adrian Fry who is currently assistant Musical Director and resident trombonist for Terry Wogan's new Radio 2 show.
