Kjell Ohman & Arne Domnerus - The Hammond B-3 Connection

Kjell Ohman was one of the world's best Hammond B-3 Organ players, but sadly passed away some years ago. On this 1994 album, which is appearing on vinyl for the first time, he features alongside the famous Swedish saxophone player Arne Domnerus, guitarist Rune Gustafsson, bassist Mads Vinding and drummer Leif Dahlberg. Arne Domnerus has made many well-known recordings and one of the most famous was the classic 'Jazz at the Pawnshop' album from 1977. This album was previously only released on CD in 1994 but was discontinued many years ago. Due to popular demand Opus 3 Records have remastered it for LP, and chosen the 10 best tracks out of 14. Some numbers feature that master of alto sax Arne Domnerus, who just seems to go on getting better and better. His playing in Benny Carter's beautiful ballad The Favour of the Fool is in itself worth buying the record for. - More Music
