Joshua Burnell sparked the interest of the folk world with his ambitious Seasons Project which saw him release one of his folk-rock arrangements of a traditional song or tune every week for a year. Fourteen favourites formed Joshua's release, Songs From The Seasons which RnR Magazine gave the album a solid 5/5 rating and commented, this isn't about academic research, it's about playing the music, which is what Joshua does exceptionally well.
Joshua is follows up Songs From The Seasons with another folk-rock offering The Road To Horn Fair, featuring 10 traditional songs and tunes, lovingly rocked up to 11. The cover art is by illustrator Randy Asplund who works in the authenic medieval style, creating his own natural-based inks and working directly onto vellum. ?
