Sadie Harrison's violin concerto An Unexpected Light is coupled with chamber music exploring the folk musics of Lithuania, the Northern Caucasus and the Near East, and invoking Bartok's treatment of his native Hungarian folksong. The music is performed by the Lithuanian artists for whom it was written, and was recorded in Vilnius.
